Located in the heart of the lakes north of Brainerd, Nisswa includes 12 lakes within its city limits.  The Nisswa Motel is located just one block from the shopping and restaurants of downtown Nisswa, one of the top destinations in the Brainerd Lakes Area.  The Paul Bunyan Trail (bicycling, walking, in-line skating, and snowmobiling) is also just a block from the motel entrance, and you don't have to cross a highway to access it.  Winding through forested areas and around lakes, the hard-surface trail runs 16 miles south to Brainerd and 57 miles north to Walker and beyond.
